Beef in Red Wine Mushroom Sauce

List of Ingredients
- 2 1/4lb. sirloin, sliced into thin strips
- 3T. butter
- 3T. safflower oil
- 4 oz. sliced mushrooms
- 3T. finely diced carrots
- 3T. finely diced celery
- 1/4c. flour, all purpose
- 1/2c. red wine
- 2c. beef broth
- 3T. tomato paste
- 1t. each pepper, garlic powder, onion powder
Instructions
- In a large Dutch oven or kettle, saute the beef in the butter and oil.
- Add the vegetables and continue to cook until tender. Sprinkle with flour, reduce the heat and cook for 5 mins.
- Add the wine, broth, tomato paste and seasonings. Simmer for 50 mins. covered.
- Serve over noodles.
