    Peppery Steak with Pan Fries and Gravy

    List of Ingredients


    • Potatoes:
    • 1/4c. butter
    • 6 med. new red potatoes ,cut into wedges
    • 1/4t. salt
    • 1/4t. pepper
    • Steak:
    • 1/3c. flour
    • 1/4t. salt
    • pinch of pepper
    • 4 beef cubed steaks
    • Gravy:
    • 1T. butter
    • 1T. flour
    • 1c. milk
    • 1/4t. each salt and pepper


    Instructions


    1. In skillet melt 1/4c. butter until sizzling.
    2. Add remaining potato ingredients.
    3. Cook over med. heat turning occasionally, until golden brown.
    4. Place potatoes on platter. Keep warm while preparing steaks and gravy.
    5. In pie pan stir together all steak ingredients except steaks.
    6. Coat both sides of steaks with flour mixture.
    7. Place 2 steaks in same skillet. Cook over med. high heat until brown and crispy.
    8. Remove steaks to platter with potatoes.
    9. Cook remaining steaks. Reduce heat to med.
    10. In same skillet with drippings and brown particles melt 1T. butter.
    11. Stir in 1T. flour. Cook stirring occasionally. until smooth and bubbly.
    12. Stir in remaining gravy ingredients.
    13. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until gravy thickens.
    14. Serve over steaks and potatoes.
