    4 1/2 C. sugar

    3/4 C. butter

    1 (13 1/2 oz.) can evaporated milk

    4 small packages butterscotch bits

    1 T. vanilla

    1 C. chopped nuts

    Recipe





    Mix sugar, butter and milk. Bring to a boil and cook 6 minutes, until 234° F.

    While this is cooking, mix butterscotch chips, vanilla and nuts in a large bowl.

    When sugar and butter mixture is cooked, add to the ingredients in bowl. Pour out in a flat 9 x 13 buttered pan. Cool and cut.

    Makes 5 lb candy.
