BROCCOLI CHEESE CASSEROLE

1 can cheddar cheese soup
1/2 can water
2 c cooked rice
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
2 10-oz pkg. frozen broccoli, thawed and drained
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
4 - 6 slices dark pumpernickle bread, torn into small pieces
3 Tbsp. melted butter (or less, to taste)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix the first five ingredients
well, and transfer to a greased casserole dish. Bake for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix the bread with the melted butter. Cover the broccoli
mixture with the bread pieces, and bake for 10 more minutes or
until the bread is browned.
