These buttery cookies will melt in your mouth.
List of Ingredients
- 1c. butter (not margarine)
- 1c. confectioners sugar
- 2t. vanilla
- 1 1/2c. flour
- 1/2t. baking soda
- 1c. rolled oats
- 1(7oz) chocolate bar, milk or dark chocolate
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla and rolled oats.
- Sift in flour and baking soda together and add to mixture. Mix thoroughly.
- Shape dough in a 2 inch roll and chill for 1 hour. Slice in 1/4 inch slices.
- Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 325 for 25 mins. until cookies are light brown.
- When cookies cool; melt chocolate until it can be stirred smooth.
- Dip the side of each cookie in the chocolate, rotating it to make the crescent moon shape.
- Makes: 3 dozen.
