Slow-Simmered Spaghetti Sauce

This sauce tastes every bit as good as ones cooked on the stovetop. You just don't have to stir it.
List of Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4(14.5oz) cans Italian style tomatoes, undrained and chopped
- 1(15oz) can tomato sauce
- 1(12oz) can tomato paste
- 2-3t. dried oregano
- 1/2t. dried crushed red pepper
- 2-3t. dried basil
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a 4 qt. slow cooker.
- Cook, covered on high 6 hours.
- Serve over spaghetti, chicken, or pork.
- Yield: 2 1/2 qt.
Final Comments
You can freeze the spaghetti sauce in airtight containers for up to 2 weeks.
