Recipe Introduction


"I don't know what it sings, but it would be fun to find out! "


1 cup margarine
1 cup strawberry jam
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
2 teas baking powder
1 cup raisins
1 tsp. grd cloves
2 teas cinnamon
4 cups flour
1 cup buttermilk
2 Sq. bitter chocolate, melted
3 eggs, separated


Beat egg whites and set aside.
Cream margarine and sugar. Add egg yolks and stir. add melted chocolate and stir.
Add raisins, cinnamon, cloves and flour and mix well. Stir in nuts and jam. Add baking powder to buttermilk and quickly stir into cake mixture.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Quickly pour into greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees until cake stops singing--About 45 Minutes.
