Wet Chocolate Cake

2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup water
1 stick butter
1/2 cup oil
4 Tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix together, sugar, flour, soda and cinnamon.
Put water, butter, oil and cocoa into a saucepan and bring to a boil, melting butter.
Pour over dry ingredients, mix well and set aside.
Mix buttermilk, eggs and vanilla together.
Add to chocolate batter.
Pour into a 13x9x2-inch pan.
Bake at 400 degrees F. for 35 minutes
Frost with chocolate icing.
Note: We call this cake the funeral cake at home, because it is so simple and fast to make that when someone dies and we need to take food this is what we always fix.
