List of Ingredients
- 2 lb. beef, chopped or ground
- flour
- 1c. water
- 1/2c. shortening or lard
- 1/2c. chopped onions
- 2T. minced garlic
- 4T. chili powder
- 2T. paprika
- 1/2 t. cayenne pepper
- 1t. salt
- juice of 1 lemon
- 3 oz. tomato sauce
Instructions
- Cook the beef in a pot of cold water until it boils and meat is brown.
- Skim off excess grease. In a small skillet, combine enough flour and 1c. water to make a thin paste.
- Cook until browned. Add to beef. Add remaining ingredients and cook slowly for 1 hour.
- Makes: 6-8 servings.
