    Caramel Marshmallows

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 lb. caramels
    • 3T. hot water
    • 3/4c. toasted coconut or finely chopped pecans
    • 32 large marshmallows


    Instructions


    1. Line a cookie sheet with wax paper. Place the caramels and hot water in top of double broiler.
    2. Heat over simmering water, stirring often until melted.
    3. Use a fork to hold marshmallows; dip into melted caramel.
    4. Roll in toasted coconut or pecans.
    5. Work quickly to coat each marshmallow.
    6. Stir caramel mixture occasionally to keep it smooth.
