Caramel Marshmallows

- 1/2 lb. caramels
- 3T. hot water
- 3/4c. toasted coconut or finely chopped pecans
- 32 large marshmallows
Instructions
- Line a cookie sheet with wax paper. Place the caramels and hot water in top of double broiler.
- Heat over simmering water, stirring often until melted.
- Use a fork to hold marshmallows; dip into melted caramel.
- Roll in toasted coconut or pecans.
- Work quickly to coat each marshmallow.
- Stir caramel mixture occasionally to keep it smooth.
