Dough:
1 cup butter
2 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
6 cups all purpose flour, such as Gold Medal Flour
Frosting:
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup water (approx.)
Food coloring
Recipe
Cream butter and sugar. Mix in eggs and milk. Add salt, baking powder, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Refrigerate for 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Press cookie dough in flat circles. Bake for 15 minutes. When cookies are done, use circular cookie cutter to make cookies round and let cool. Mix powdered sugar with water until frosting is thick and smooth. Separate into bowls and add food coloring. Frost cookies and decorate to resemble coins as desired.
