    Ingredients

    Hamburger meat or
    ground turkey
    Onion
    Canned ravioli
    Shredded mozarella
    cheese

    Utensils

    Microwavable 2-quart
    casserole with lid
    Cutting board
    Sharp knife
    Potholders
    Long-handled spoon
    Colander
    Container for fat
    Can opener

    Directions


    1.With your fingers, crumble 1 pound of hamburger meat or
    ground turkey into small pieces into the casserole.
    2. Peel 1 small onion, chop and add to the meat.
    3. Cover with the lid and microwave on high (100%) 3 minutes.
    Stir. Re-cover and microwave 2 to 3 minutes longer or until
    the meat is no longer pink. Using potholders, carefully remove
    the casserole from the microwave. Remove the lid, lifting it
    from the side away from you, to let the steam out.
    4. Put the colander over a container to hold any fat from the
    meat. Ask an adult to pour the meat carefully into the
    colander. Hot steam will rise so be careful. Put the meat back
    into the casserole.
    5. Stir in 2 cans (15 ounces each) ravioli.
    6. Cover with the lid and microwave on high (100%)3 minutes.
    Remember to be careful when you remove the lid. Stir.
    Re-cover and microwave 2 to 4 minutes longer or until hot.
    Using potholders, remove the casserole from the microwave.
    7. Sprinkle with 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 ounces).
    8. Re-cover and let stand until the cheese is melted.

    Hint: It's fun to use different flavors of cheese on top of this
    casserole. Try Cheddar cheese, pizza or taco-flavored cheese.
