1. My Uncle Bob says times really started to change when women folks began to let the young uns eat first instead of the old uns.
   
2. What made him say that was at a town picnic and he had to stand around hungry til the children got what they wanted.
   
3. I don't know about that, but I do recollect having to wait at the second table when comp'ny was ther for dinner.
   
4. The more us young uns waited, the hungrier we got, and also less cake and pie.
   
5. My older sister said she was nine before she knew chickens had anything 'cept backs and wings.
