Vanilla Wafer Dessert

1 1/2 cups crushed vanilla wafers (about 30 vanilla wafers)
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
2 (3-3/4 oz.) packages instant pudding
3 cups milk
1 cup whipped topping (optional)


Recipe




Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine crushed wafers with melted butter or margarine. Press into bottom and sides of 9 inch pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for approximately 10 minutes.
Combine pudding and milk. Beat until well blended, 1 to 2 minutes. Pour over crust. Top with additional cookie crumbs or place wafers around edge of pie if desired. Chill until set. Serve with whipped topping if desired.
