Grilled San Antonio Pork Roast

Recipe Introduction
An unexpected hint of sweetness along with the taste of chili powder make this smoky pork roast a winner.
List of Ingredients
- 1/2 fresh pork leg roast (3 1/2 to 4 lb)
- 1/2c. smoky bbq sauce
- 1/2c. grape jelly
- 2t. chili powder
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat grill for indirect grilling. Season pork roast with salt and pepper.
- Brush grate with cooking oil. Place roast on grate, away from fire, and close grill cover.
- Combine bbq sauce, jelly and chili powder. After roast has been on grill 30 minutes, start basting with sauce mixture every 10-15 minutes until internal temp. of roast, measured with a meat thermometer, reads 155 degrees, about 30 minutes more.
- Remove roast from grill, cover with foil and let rest 10 minutes before serving.
