    Teriyaki Steak with Onions

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 beef flank steak (about 1 1/2 lb. )
    • 1/2c. soy sauce
    • 1/4c. dry white wine
    • 2T. brown sugar
    • 1t. grated fresh ginger
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 large sweet onion, sliced
    • 1T. butter


    Instructions


    1. Place steak in large plastic bag; place bag in large bowl.
    2. In 1 qt. measure, combine soy sauce, wine, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic. Pour marinade over steak in bag; turn to coat with marinade.
    3. Close bag securely and refrigerte 6-8 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.
    4. Drain meat; reserve marinade. Grill steak on uncovered grill, over medium hot coals 10-15 minutes or to desired doneness, turning once.
    5. Meanwhile in skillet, cook onion in butter until soft. Stir in 1/2c. reserved marinade; cook 4-5 minutes.
    6. Carve steak diagonally across grain into thin slices. Serve with cooked onion slices.
    7. Makes: 5-6 servings.
