Beef Hash

1 green pepper, diced
1 med onion, diced
1 lb ground beef
1 tbsp chili powder
1 cup of long grain rice
1 large can plum (italian style) tomatoes
saute onion and green pepper in olive oil until onion starts to look clear, add ground beef. Brown beef and drain off fat. Add rice and chili powder, stirring well. Cut tomatoes in quarters and add along with the juices from the can of tomatoes. Cover for 20 minutes, stirring ocassionally.
