Chuckwagon Beef & Bean Skillet

- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2c. onion, chopped
- 1 small green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can beef broth
- 1 1/2c. uncooked wagonwheel or elbow pasta
- 1c. hickory flavored BBQ sauce
- 1/4c. water
- 1 (10 to 15 oz) can pork & beans
- 1/2c. shredded cheddar or colby cheese
Instructions
- In large skillet brown ground beef, onion and bell pepper. Drain.
- Stir in broth, pasta, BBQ sauce and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10-15 minutes, or until pasta is almost tender.
- Uncover; stir in pork & beans. Continue to cook about 10 minutes or until pasta is tender and sauce is thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Sprinkle with cheese before serving.
- Yield: four 1 1/4 c. servings
