    Chunky Pasta Sauce with Meat

    List of Ingredients


    • 6 oz. ground beef
    • 6 oz. mild or hot Italian sausage, sliced
    • 1/2 med. onion, coarsely chopped
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 2 cans (14 1/2 oz . ea. ) Del Monte Chunky Pasta Style Stewed Tomatoes
    • 1 can (8 oz) Del Monte Tomato Sauce
    • 1/4c. red wine
    • Hot cooked rice or noodles
    • Grated Parmesan Cheese


    Instructions


    1. In large saucepan, brown meat and sausage; drain reserving 1T. drippings.
    2. Add onion and garlic; cook until tender. Add chunky tomatoes, tomato sauce and wine.
    3. Boil, uncovered, 15 mins. stirring frequently. Prepare pasta as directed. Serve sauce over pasta and top with Parmesan cheese.
    4. Makes: 4 c. sauce or 4 servings.
