    Herbed Beef Patties

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
    • 3T. cold water
    • 1/2t. garlic salt
    • 1t. dried oregano leaves
    • dash black pepper
    • dash of paprika
    • all purpose flour
    • 1 egg, slightly beaten
    • 1/4c. fine seasoned bread crumbs
    • 2t. butter
    • Topping:
    • 1c. spaghetti sauce
    • 3/4c. grated cheddar cheese
    • 2T. parmesan cheese
    • 1T. chopped fresh herbs (basil, sage, oregano, thyme)


    Instructions


    1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, cold water, garlic salt, oregano, pepper and paprika.
    2. Mix to blend well. Divide meat into even pieces. Shape into 3/4 inch patties.
    3. Coat patties with flour. Let sit for a few mins. Then dip patties into beaten egg and bread crumbs.
    4. Brown patties on both sides in butter, in a skillet. Arrange patties in shallow baking dish.
    5. Pour a little spaghetti sauce over patties. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Pour rest of spaghetti sauce over patties.
    6. Bake at 400 for about 25 mins. or until completely cooked. Sprinkle with herbs and serve.
    7. Serves: 4
