Meatballs with Garden Tomato Sauce

List of Ingredients



• Meatballs:
  
• 1 lb. ground beef
  
• 1/2c. uncooked long grain rice
  
• 1/2c. water
  
• 1/2t. salt
  
• 1/2t. basil
  
• 1/2t. pepper
  
• Sauce:
  
• 1c. water
  
• 3 med. tomatoes, cut into 1 inch pieces
  
• 2 stalks celery, sliced 1/2 inch slices
  
• 1 med. onion, cut into 1/2 inch slices
  
• 6 oz. tomato paste
  
• 1/2t. salt
  
• 1/4t. pepper
  
• 1t. garlic
  






Instructions



1. Heat oven to 375.
   
2. In med. bowl stir together all meatball ingredients.
   
3. Form mixture into 12 meatballs.
   
4. Place in baking pan.
   
5. In med. bowl stir together all sauce ingredients.
   
6. Pour over meatballs.
   
7. Cover and bake for 45-50 mins. or until rice is tender.
