1T. unsalted butter or margarine
1T. all purpose flour
3/4 cup half and half
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1T. dark corn syrup
1/2t. vanilla extract
Recipe
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour. Gradually add the half and half and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture boils and thickens. Stir in the brown sugar and cook until dissolved, about 1 minute; remove from the heat. Stir in the corn syrup and vanilla. Serve warm.
