I recollect likin to dunk these into a glass of buttermilk. Mighty good when crumbled up.
List of Ingredients
- 1 qt. hot water
- corn meal
- 1c. yeast
- 1c. potato water
- 1c. lard
- 1c. sugar
- 1/8t. salt
- flour
Instructions
- Make mush with hot water an cornmeal. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
- Mix all the other ingredients together. Add salt and stir in enough flour to make dough.
- Let it rise in a warm place, an when hit doubles hits size, cut hit into biscuits and bake hit in moderate oven til golden brown.
