This recipe came from a cookbook published in 1796. I can recollect Grandmaw makin a puddin sort of like this un. Here tis:
List of Ingredients
- 3 pints scalded milk
- 7 eggs
- 4 oz. butter
- 7 spoons fine Indian meal
- half lb. raisins
- spice and sugar to taste
Instructions
- Stir meal and milk together while hot. Let stand till cooled.
- Add raisins, butter, eggs, spice and sugar. Bake one and a half hours.
