Recipe Introduction
This is a very forgiving recipe, great for getting rid of some of that left over halloween candy. You can substitute out some of the candy for other kinds.
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened (or margarine)
1 cup firmly-packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup yogurt-covered raisins
1/2 cup chocolate-covered peanuts
1/2 cup Reese's pieces
1 Preheat oven to 375.
2 Sift together flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt into bowl and set aside.
3 In a large bowl, using an electric mixer set on medium, cream butter, brown sugar and sugar.
4 With the mixer on low, beat in egg and vanilla.
5 Beat in flour mixture a little at a time until a soft dough forms.
6 Combine rasins, peanuts and reese's in a medium bowl.
7 Gently fold in half of the candy mixture, being careful not to break up the candy pieces.
8 Drop onto ungreased baking sheets, about 2" apart by heaping teaspoons.
9 Sprinkle the tops of the dough balls with the remaining candy mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
10 Bake cookies until lightly golden, 10-12 minutes.
11 Cool completely on wire racks.
