How to Make Mushroom Sauce***

Use this mushroom sauce over a steak or chops. It is easy to make.
2 tablespoons minced shallots
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 pound of sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup red or white cooking wine
1 cup of beef broth
1 tablespoon cornstarch
salt and pepper to taste
1.Cook the shallots in the butter. Add the mushrooms and continue to cook for three or four minutes.
2.Add the wine and deglaze the pan. Add the beef broth.
3.With some of the beef broth, make a slurry with the cornstarch. Carefully add the slurry to the pan. Cook and stir until bubbly and clear. Add salt and pepper.
