Beef Patties in Savory Sauce

List of Ingredients



• 1 pound ground beef
  
• salt and pepper
  
• 1/2 cup cold water
  
• 3T. salad oil
  
• 2T. catsup
  
• 1T. prepared mustard
  
• 1T. Worcestershire sauce
  
• 1t. vinegar
  
• few drops Tabasco sauce
  
• 1t. sugar
  
• 1 clove garlic, chopped or 1/2 t. chopped onion
  






Instructions



1. Combine meat, seasonings, and water; mix well and form in patties.
   
2. Broil 3 inches from heat 5 minutes; turn. Combine remaining ingredients and simmer 5 minutes.
   
3. Spread over patties and broil on second side 5 minutes.
   
4. One T. chopped onion may be added to meat patties, and catsup or chili sauce substituted for sauce.
   
5. Makes: 6 patties.
