    This recipe was found in a 50's tin recipe box and was handwritten on a lined white sheet of paper.

    Brown in skillet
    1/2 pound bacon, diced
    Add:
    1/2 cup chopped celery
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1 Tablespoon salt
    1 Tablespoon coarsely ground pepper
    1 sprig of tarragon, chervil, thyme
    1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    1/8 teaspoon powdered cloves

    Simmer 5 minutes and Add:
    6 medium sized tomatoes - quartered
    2 Tablespoons honey
    2 cup consommé
    Simmer 40 minutes

    Add
    1 chopped green pepper
    3 Tablespoons chopped parsley
    Simmer 5 minutes
