    Recipe Introduction


    Ginger and soy sauce flavor the tender strips of beef and sweet peppers in this Oriental-style dish.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2T. vegetable oil
    • 2c. sweet pepper strips (green,red and/or yellow)
    • 1 med. onion, minced
    • 1 lb. boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
    • 1 can Campbell's condensed Beefy Mushroom Soup
    • 1T. soy sauce
    • 1/2t. ground ginger
    • Hot cooked rice


    Instructions


    1. In 10 inch skillet or wok over medium-high heat, in 1T. hot oil, stir-fry peppers, onion and garlic until tender-crisp. Remove; set aside.
    2. In same skillet in remaining 1T. hot oil, stir-fry half of beef until browned. Remove; set aside. Repeat with remaining beef.
    3. In same skillet, combine soup,soy sauce and ginger. Return reserved vegetables and beef to skillet. Heat through, stirring occasionally.
    4. To serve, arrange rice on platter. Spoon mixture over rice.
    5. Makes: about 5c. or 4 servings
    6. Prep time: 15 mins.
    7. Cook time: 15 mins.
    8. Prepare Pepper Steak as directed above, except substitute 1T. oyster sauce for the soy sauce and 1t. grated fresh ginger for the ground ginger.
