    Recipe Introduction


    This fast to fix entree is made with new Italian Tomato Soup that has pieces of tomato and is seasoned with onion, basil, oregano and garlic.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2T. all purpose flour
    • 1/8t. pepper
    • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves (about 1 lb.)
    • 2T. vegetable oil
    • 1 can Campbell's condensed Italian Tomato Soup
    • 1/2c. water
    • Hot cooked noodles
    • Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish


    Instructions


    1. On waxed paper, combine flour and pepper. Coat chicken lightly with flour mixture.
    2. In 10 inch skillet over medium-high heat, in hot oil, cook chicken 10 mins. or until browned on both sides. Remove; set aside. Spoon off fat.
    3. In same skillet, combine soup and water. Heat to boiling. Return chicken to skillet. Reduce heat to low. Cover; cook 5 mins. or until chicken is no longer pink, stirring occasionally.
    4. To serve, arrange chicken over noodles. Stir sauce and spoon over chicken. Granish with thyme, if desired.
    5. Makes: 4 servings
    6. Prep time: 5 mins.
    7. Cook time: 20 mins.
    8. Savory Chicken and Shrimp: Prepare Savory Chicken Breasts as directed above, except in step 3, add 1/4lb. medium shrimp, shelled and deveined, with browned chicken and continue to cook until shrimp are pink and opaque.
