- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 crushed clove garlic
- 1(1lb.) can stewed tomatoes
- 8oz. shell macaroni
- 1(1/2 lb.) pkg. sliced provolone cheese
- 2 med. onions, chopped
- 1-15 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
- 1-3oz. can sliced mushrooms
- 1 1/2 pt. sour cream
- 1(1/2 lb.) pkg. sliced Mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Cook ground beef in a little oil in large skillet, until brown, drain.
- Add onions, garlic, spaghetti sauce, stewed tomatoes and undrained mushrooms. Mix well.
- Simmer 20 mins. or until onions are soft. Meanwhile, cook shells according to pkg. directions; drain and rinse in cold water.
- Pour half the shells into a deep casserole. Cover with 1/2 the tomato meat mixture.
- Spread 1/2 the sour cream over sauce. Top with slices of Provolone cheese.
- Repeat, ending with slices of mozzarella cheese. Cover casserole.
- Bake at 350 for 35-40 mins. Remove cover; bake until mozzarella melts and slightly browns.
