    Ham in Champagne

    List of Ingredients


    • 19 lb. boneless ham
    • 2 (4/5qt. ) extra dry champagne
    • 1 1/2t. ground ginger
    • 1 pineapple, sliced
    • 1 lb. light brown sugar
    • 3T. honey
    • 1 1/2 t. dry mustard
    • 1 apple, spiced (optional)


    Instructions


    1. Score ham and place on rack in baking pan. Cover top with 1c. brown sugar, and pour over 1 bottle champagne.
    2. Bake at 325 for 2 hours. Combine remaining bottle champagne, remaining brown sugar, honey, ginger, and mustard, and bring to rolling boil in saucepan.
    3. Lower heat and simmer while basting ham every 15 mins. until done.
    4. Garnish with pineapple slices and apples if desired.
