Pan Fried Pork Chops with Onion Gravy

- 1/2c. flour
- 1T. creole seasoning
- 6 boneless pork chops
- 3T. crisco shortening
- 2 lg. sweet onions, halfed and sliced
- 1 (14 1/2 oz) can beef broth or beer
- 1T. cornstarch
- 2T. water
Instructions
- Stir together flour and seasonings. Coat pork chops. Brown chops in oil about 3 minutes each side.
- Add onion and cook 5 mins. Add broth or beer. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 15 mins.
- Remove chops. Stir together cornstarch and 2T. water until smooth.
- Add to onion mixture in skillet. Stirring until blended.
- Bring to a boil and cook 1 minute until thickened. Serve gravy with pork chops.
