Asian Sweet-Spicy Dipping Sauce

List of Ingredients
- 1c. sugar
- 1/2c. water
- 1/2c. white vinegar
- 1/2t. salt
- 2t. chili paste with garlic (or to taste)
Instructions
- Combine sugar, water, vinegar and salt in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer until syrupy, but do not allow sauce to caramelize, about 15 to 20 mins.
- Remove from heat and stir in chili paste with garlic. Cool.
- Serve as a dipping sauce for chicken wings or shrimp.
