Recipe Introduction
A Mexican variation of chili. Especially good for a winter supper.
List of Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion, minced
- 1 green bell pepper diced
- 7 oz. enchilada sauce
- 8 oz. tomato sauce
- chili powder, salt and pepper to taste
- Fritos or broken tacos
- sharp cheese, grated
- lettuce, shredded
- tomatoes, diced
Instructions
- Brown meat, onion and pepper; drain. Add enchilada and tomato sauces.
- Season to taste with spices. Simmer 40 mins.
- At serving time, place a layer of Fritos in the bottom of each bowl; top with hot meat mixture, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes.
