    Lettuce and Onion Salad

    1 1/2 quarts shredded lettuce
    3 chopped green onions
    2 tbsp melted bacon grease
    1 tbsp vinegar
    1 tbsp sugar

    Combine lettuce and onion.

    Combine bacon grease, vinegar and sugar. Heat to boiling. Pour over lettuce and onions.
    Salt and pepper to taste. Toss to mix.
    Serve immediately.
