Easy Cheesy Chicken Sandwiches

- 4 pkg. (5 oz. ea.) refrigerated lemon-herb chicken breast fillet
- 1 med. onion, sliced
- 1T. butter
- 4 hoagie or bratwurst buns, split and toasted
- 2 med. bell peppers, sliced into rings
- 8 slices process American or Swiss cheese
Instructions
- Prepare chicken as directed on pkg; keep warm. Cook onion in butter 8-10 minutes, stirring frequently, until tender.
- Set oven control to broil. Place bottom halves of buns on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Top with onions, chicken and bell pepper rings. Cut cheese slices in half; place 4 halves on each sandwich.
- Broil with tops 5 to 6 inches from heat 2-3 minutes or just until cheese is melted. Top with tops of buns.
- Makes: 4 sandwiches
