Basic Marinara Sauce

- 4 cloves garlic, sliced in half
- 1(35oz) can Italian tomatoes
- 3 basil leaves, chopped
- 1/4c. olive oil
- 1/2t. oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in skillet. Add garlic, saute until soft.
- Crush tomatoes and add the juice. Fill empty tomato can 1/4 of the way with water and pour in with tomatoes.
- Add salt, pepper, basil and oregano. Bring to a boil, then simmer and cook 20-30 mins.
