Cheese and Walnut Scone Rounds

List of Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
2 cups whole wheat flour (use whole grain)
2 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 large egg, beaten
1/2 cup milk
Recipe
Preheat oven to 425 and lightly oil a cookie sheet. Blend the butter into the flour, baking powder and salt and stir in the nuts and cheese. Beat the egg with the milk and use to mix to a soft but manageable dough. Turn onto a lightly floured surface then knead lightly until smooth. Shape the dough into a round about 1 in thick and score 8 portions (like a pie). Bake on the cookie sheet for 20-25 minutes. Cook for at least 10 minutes before cutting through and serving.
