    List of Ingredients




    2 teaspoons olive oil
    1 medium onion -- finely chopped
    3 cloves garlic -- minced
    1 pound extra lean ground beef
    19 ounces canned tomatoes -- chopped w/juice
    3 tablespoons tomato paste
    1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 cup red wine
    1/4 teaspoon Splenda
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 teaspoon dried oregano -- crushed
    2 bay leaves
    salt & pepper -- to taste

    -Sauté onions & garlic in heated oil. -Add the ground beef , cook until lightly browned, drain off excess fat. -Add remaining ingredients ; stir & bring to a boil. -Reduce to simmer, partially cover & simmer for 1 hour. -Carb count for entire recipe:48.8 minus 12.1 carbs= 36.7 carbs & 90.3 grams protein. -Serve over legal pasta.
    -This is a delicious sauce!!! The cinnamon is what gives this sauce the wonderful flavor so don't omit it!
