Recipe Introduction
*Keep in mind, this is a double recipe.
List of Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) of butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 cup cocoa
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease 13x9x2 baking pan.
- Melt butter.
- Stir in sugar and vanilla.
- Add eggs and cocoa until blended.
- Add flour (a little at a time), baking powder and salt; beat well.
- Stir in nuts (if desired).
- Pour batter into greased pan.
- Bake 30-35 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan.
- Let cool.
- Frost if desired.
Final Comments
Makes about 36 brownies.
