    Recipe Introduction


    *Keep in mind, this is a double recipe.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup (2 sticks) of butter
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla
    • 4 eggs
    • 3/4 cup cocoa
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)


    Instructions


    1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Grease 13x9x2 baking pan.
    3. Melt butter.
    4. Stir in sugar and vanilla.
    5. Add eggs and cocoa until blended.
    6. Add flour (a little at a time), baking powder and salt; beat well.
    7. Stir in nuts (if desired).
    8. Pour batter into greased pan.
    9. Bake 30-35 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan.
    10. Let cool.
    11. Frost if desired.


    Final Comments


    Makes about 36 brownies.
