    Pineapple-Ham Ramakies

    Source of Recipe

    Internet

    List of Ingredients

    1 Pound of Bacon
    1 Large Ham Slice
    1 Can Pineapple Chunks
    1 Can Sliced Water Chestnuts

    Recipe

Note: This should make about two dozen Ramakies. Sometimes, the measured ingredients do not work out evenly in the assembly of the appetizers. So I buy extra ingredients and keep on assembling. I LOVE these things.

Cut the pound of Bacon in half cross-wise (from top to bottom) so you have two, shorter, half-strips. Cut the Ham Steak into

To assemble, place a half-strip of Bacon on a flat surface. At one end of the strip, stack a slice of Water Chestnut, a piece of Ham Steak, and a chunk of pineapple (one atop the other). Roll up the Bacon around the Water Chestnut, Ham, and Pineapple, and secure with several toothpicks.

When all are assembled, place in a baking pan in a Medium oven and bake or broil until the bacon is lightly browned. Turn the ramakies, as needed, to brown on both sides.

Remove from the oven and drain on paper toweling. Serve warm. Exciting flavor combination. These usually go really quickly at parties, so make lots!
