Beer-Battered Vidalia Rings

2 large Vidalia onions
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 12-ounce can beer
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon seasoned salt
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Cut onions into slices and separate into rings. Set aside. Combine egg and next three ingredients in large bowl; add flour and stir with wire whisk until smooth. Dip onion rings in batter. Pour oil to depth of 2/3 inches into Dutch oven; heat to 375:. Fry, turning once, until golden brown. Drain well on paper towels. Serve immediately.
