    12 ounces bleu cheese, softened
    1/2 pound butter, room temperature
    2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 1/4 cups cornstarch
    1 1/4 teaspoons each salt and pepper
    1 1/2 cups walnuts, chopped finely (optional)

    Recipe



    Beat cream cheese and butter until creamy. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, pepper, salt and walnuts. Add to cheese mixture. Roll into two logs, and chill until firm. Cut in 1/8-inch-thick slices. Place on a cookie sheet or sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
