oil for deep frying
1 pkg dry H/P mix
1/2 c water
Fresh Mahi filet (or other white flaky fish)
1Tbsp Md Crab Seasoning or Old Bay
Toothpicks

Heat oil in deep fryer or sauce pan
Prepare hush puppy mix as directed on the pkg then add 1/2c additional water. Mix should be just a little thicker than pancake batter.
Trim darker meat from the Mahi filet. Cut the fish into 1/2-3/4 inch cubes. Sprinkle lightly with crab seasoning.
Stick each cube with a toothpick. Dip into hush puppy mix then drop into the hot oil, toothpick and all.
Fry for 3 min or until golden brown. Drain on paper towel.
