    12 deviled egg halves
    1/4c butter or marg
    1/4c plain flour
    1/2tsp salt
    1/4tsp black pepper
    2c milk
    1/2c dry bread bread crumbs
    1/4c bacon bits
    1/2c finely shredded sharp cheddar cheesd

    Recipe



    1. Preheat the oven to 350. Arrange the deviled egg halves in a greased 8-inch square baking pan, stuffed sides facing up.

    2. In a medium-size heavy saucepan over low heat, melt the butter, then blend in the flour, salt, and pepper. Add the milk and cook, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth. Pour the sauce over the eggs, top evenly with bacon bits, bread crumbs, then sprinkle on the cheddar. Bake just until the cheese melts. Serve hot.
