    Sautéed Broccoli and Broccoli Rabe

    2 Tb best quality olive oil
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 1/4 pounds broccoli
    3/4 pound broccoli rabe
    Salt and freshly-ground black pepper
    1-2 red peppers
    In a large skillet sauté the garlic in the olive oil until it is fragrant but not brown. Add the broccoli, and continue to sauté then add the broccoli rabe, cooking and stirring until broccoli is slightly tender and rabe is wilted. Add the sliced, roasted red pepper, salt and pepper to taste, and toss. Serve immediately.

    To Roast Red Pepper: Hold the pepper on a long fork over a flame until it is well charred. Place the pepper in a brown paper bag and leave it for about 10 minutes. Remove from the bag, and gently squeeze off the burned outer skin. Slice the inner skin and remove seeds.
