1 8-oz. carton of vanilla low fat or nonfat yogurt
1 large ripe banana peeled and sliced
1/4 cup wheat germ
3 to 4 tbsp fat free chocolate syrup
1 cup ice cubes
Recipe
Put yogurt, banana, wheat germ, chocolate syrup, and ice cubes in container of electric blender. Cover and blend on high speed for one minute or until smooth.
Pour into glasses and sprinkle wheat germ or add banana slices to garnish.
Makes two servings
For a peanut butter treat, substitute 1/4 cup of reduced fat peanut butter for chocolate syrup.
For an orange treat, substitute 1/4 cup of orange juice for the syrup.
