    Fresh corn kernels
    Fresh tomatoes, cut into pieces
    Gray salt
    Lemon wedges
    Fennel spice
    Vodka (optional)
    Fennel fronds (for garnish)

    Recipe



    Juice the corn and tomatoes separately through a juice extractor (such as a Juiceman) and place each juice in a small pitcher. Season each mixture with gray salt. You will want to mix approximately 25% corn juice with 75% tomato juice for the drinks.
    Rub the top rims of the glasses with a lemon wedge, and dip the rims in a saucer filled with some of the fennel spice. The spice will cling to the rim of the glass and flavor the drink as you sip.

    Fill the glasses with ice. Pour tomato juice into each glass to reach about 3/4 of the way up the glass. Top with the corn juice and season. Add vodka if desired. Garnish each glass with a fennel frond.
