Grand Champion Dill Bread

Dissolve 1 Tbsp. yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
1 cup sour cream
1 egg
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 Tbsp. sugar 1 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. dill seed
1 Tbsp. dried dill weed
1 tsp. salt
1 beaten egg yolk mixed with 2 tsp. water
Stir together 1 cup flour and all the ingredients down to the salt. Work in the rest of the flour. Let rise 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours or until doubled. Punch down and divide into three pieces. Let rest, then roll into 18 inch rolls. Place side by side on a greased cookie sheet. Braid. (Or place into long loaf pans.) Cover and let raise about 30 minutes or until doubled in bulk. Brush top of loaf with the beaten egg yolk/water mixture and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
